We are delighted to be able to introduce you to the amazing local farmers Danny and Michelle Lutz of Maple Creek Farms. We have had the pleasure of enjoying produce from Danny and Michele for several years, through farmer's markets, the Growing Connections Harvest Festival and their CSA (community supported agriculture) member "shares" for a growing season. About Maple Creek Farm
Maple Creek Farm is a family operation in the Michigan thumb area, growing acres of certified organic produce for the 12th year of our CSA operation. CSA (Community Supported Agriculture) is a farmer-consumer direct relationship. We are committed to growth of CSA and local sustainable organic agriculture.
The farm is 80 acres complete with 55 acres in vegetables, 10 acres in pasture and hay for our animals, 5-10 acres always in cover crop for soil fertility. We also have beautiful woods for wildlife habitat and a healthy eco-system. We have always practiced sustainable organic practices since we started our operation in 1995. The farm became certified organic in 1999.
In addition to growing vegetables and herbs, the farm also has a few orchards, angus beef and honeybees. Maple Creek Farm is a Michigan organic farm.
If you are looking for fresh organic produce grown by farmers you know, in a sustainable certified organic way, our CSA is just what you're looking for. Supporting members of a CSA farm buy "shares" for a growing season. For your financial support you receive a season full of fresh produce, direct from the farm. This unique marketing relationship allows for the grower (us) to work on growing rather than selling and allows you (the consumer) better value for your money. This is "Farming with a Face". From the start of the seed to the harvest of the crop, you'll know who, how, where and when your food was grown.

About Your Farmers
The owners and operators of Maple Creek Farm are Danny & Michelle Lutz. We are a family operation along with our 3 daughters. The majority of work on the farm is completed by the family, but we do encourage and appreciate members participation to aid with weeding, greenhouse work and harvesting.
